    Description

Over 10 years and running, billions of Shield pennies minted and here we have some of the rolls that started the Shield Penny program on day one.   These are not only First Day rolls, but also ceremonial rolls that were officially cancelled with the official United States Post Office cancellation stamper that was made exclusively for the Shield penny and only available at the Springfield Post Office  back in February of 2010.   US mint and every day bank rolls are everywhere for the Shield penny, whereas just a few thousand of these rolls likely exist at best.
Almost a HUNDRED BILLION SHIELD pennies minted so far and here you can own the rarest of the rarest of those billions.    Regular rolls are a dime a dozen and these are not only First Day rolls for the 2010 Shield Penny, but also for the ENTIRE SERIES.    To put into perspective on what we have here, just imagine if there were first day rolls being auctioned off for the 1959 Memorial penny.  What would those bring?  No, they don't exist because back then there was no official release date, but once again it just puts into perspective on what we really have here.
Each roll is affixed with one of the famous 2009 Lincoln stamps.   There were a total of four and here you get each one.
