Montpelier VT Library Creamer Wheelock Germany Souvenir Vintage Colorized Pitcher
This is a lovely piece of souvenir china featuring the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, Vt.
The vintage creamer has a white background and there is colorized drawing of the library building. There are flowers painted around the library drawing and a lot of gold embellishment, particularly on the underside of the spout.
Stamped on the front: Kellogg-Hubbard Library, Montpelier, Vt.
Stamp on the bottom is partially faded. We can read: Wheelock, Made in Germany. Then there is a name of a store and Montpelier, Vt.
Measures 4-1/2 inches in height at the tallest point on the spout x about 4-1/4 inches across at its widest point from spout to handle.
Very good condition with no chips, crazing or flea bites. There are several tiny hairline cracks visible on the inside near the handle. See photo. Colors are strong with minimal age-related loss. Any irregularities are from manufacture.
