Among the most easily recognizable dinosaurs are the “Boneheads” or Pachycephalosaurs. Protected with a solid dome of bone up to 8 inches (20cm) thick, they were able to face off with smaller predators. When larger ones threatened, it was sometimes better to run. The sharp foot claws ensured good traction to make a fast getaway.
